iDine

In a couple of places, I've read that the not-so-friendly skies have suspended the iDine program. In light of the fact, that they've been pushing their 3-5-7 promotion for weeks now, this would be particularly egregious behavior. On several occasions, I used a card linked to UAL at an iDine restaurant (instead of a card linked to Northwest) because of the promotion and now it seems I not only won't get the miles, I won't get the business. I generally am skeptical about the screams for lawsuits, but here where they just announced the promotion, induced us to use our cards, and eat at particular restaurants, there seems to be a basis. On the other hand, given UAL's bktcy status, such a claim may not be worth a whole lot. Maybe an action could be brought against iDine -- after all, they were a partner to all this.

Other than Mikel's (of FlyerTalk staff) comment in a different thread (which I can't find right now) where it was noted that Idine staff said they suspending UA participation, has anyone seen an official statment concerning this from UA or iDine? It's still listed as a partner on the UA website and clicking through there to iDine shows no notice of this change. Going straight to iDine's website still shows UA listed as a partner. Anyone have any further clarification or written statement? (Or have I just missed one)

Edited to note that I was typing while Buster was posting here http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum50/HTML/018578.html
