In fact, how could they not have a plan, in any case?
So, like, what the h*ll have they been doing for the last 6-12 months?

Next he's going to blame the Easter bunny;
The mounting pressure on Air Canada's bottom line became more apparent yesterday when it released March traffic figures showing a sharp 10 per cent decline in revenue passenger miles from the same month a year ago.
"That decline was blamed on a host of factors, including the war in Iraq, the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome and the timing of the popular Easter travel weekend, which falls in April this year instead of March."
I suppose the Santa is to blame for the lack of cargo traffic at christmas, how can AC compete with a guy that flies around the world delivering parcels for free.

I think if I was in charge, I would hold off presenting any plan until I had to. That way I could see what the inital reaction was to the filing and adjust accordingly. I would also want imput from the hotshots who were hired to renegotiate airplane leases before I presented anything. If this reasoning is correct, then I think there was a plan but there was no valid reason to present it before it was absolutely necessary.
