Last week, saw Neil Young (with guitar) getting off the plane at SMF and hustling over to Starbucks while waiting for his connection (to LAX?). I believe he had some involvement in the Grammys the next couple of days. I looked over at my teenage son and said - "Wow - that's Neil Young" to which my son replied "Who?"

I can't recall if I have mentioned this before in this thread, but I once sat next to Sorrell Booke sometime during the middle 80's. Very shy person.

Saw Larry David at SFO the first week of January. Ironically it was after I watched two episodes of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" from ORD-SFO in one of those 3-class 767's.
I was in 6D on an A320 going from SFO-YVR last week and in seat 6F was 2006 alpine skiing Olympic gold medalist Julia Mancuso. She was super cool. Very surprised that Team USA or United (who I believe is a sponsor of Team USA) didn't put her up in F class.

This weekend, UA 25, JFK-LAX in F, Gwen Ifill and Ronnie Magro from Jersey Shores.
As a news junkie, I wanted to sit next to Gwen and just listen to her talk about her professional experiences. Instead, I sat next to Ronnie, who did not seem quite as "guido" as he does on TV.
(However, I'm quite embarrassed to admit that I know who Ronnie is .... and that I know what he acts like on TV!)

On KOA-SFO yesterday - football hall of famer Steve Young with wife and 2 young daughters in F. This was a very delayed flight due to tsunami evacuations in Kona. He did the heavy lifting with the littlest girl - holding her in the galley most of the flight.
