E-500 magic act?

So I flew JFK-LAX-SFO recently. JFK-LAX was upgraded on a CR-1 and LAX-SFO was waitlisted. Didn't clear until at the gate, 30 minutes before boarding off of the waitlist.

After the flight TWO of my E-500's were missing. huh? A week later the two E-500's were back in my account. huh? What's going on here?

They caught their own mistake, assuming you didn't stopover in LAX, the CR-1 covers the entire trip.

Doesn't explain why 2 e500s were deducted and then added back, though, since LAX-SFO would require only one.

I was booked ORD-PHX on a Ted 320 config in June. I got moved to ORD-DEN-PHX and upgraded ORD-DEN (DEN-PHX was still Ted config). When I got home I found UA had deducted 3 e-500s for the ORD-DEN flight. A quick phone call fixed it.
