I pre-ordered the salmon. It was just OK, would have preferred it to be hotter. I liked the burrata, but only picked at the other stuff.

I requested the express service. It's same stuff on the tray, only I think you get it before the general service, more or less. I requested the cherry coffee cake for dessert but it never showed up, perhaps because I fell asleep. I did not have the second meal (and almost never do on flights to Europe.)

Crew service was outstanding. It was obvious that the crew liked their jobs.

I notice butternut squash ravioli on several menus. This had been on many domestic transcons. Seems like a cheapening of service if this is being offered on INTL, unless the dish is modified/enlarged somehow

They might even have a charred lemon. Seems like United got a deal on lemons and they are making appearances on a bunch of different dishes.

To be fair, it was one of the better parts of the dish...they couldn't do much wrong with it, and I ate the whole thing.

Tried the flat iron steak on SIN-SFO today. It was a tough overcooked brick.

The meal I wanted to try based on the description but easily the worst meal I have eaten on United.

Which departure location?

It's a shame; that meal has been great in the past.

Twice - once from SIN and once from DEN. Both times the meat was almost all fat/gristle.

Ironic to mess it up out of DEN. I guess the catering budget is 0 already for this quarter.

Annoying they still have two Pinot Noirs on the list, both from CA (at least make one a Burgundy??). Are either any good? I find I need to spend at least $25 at retail for something drinkable (e.g. La Crema). Not generally a fan of the varietal though.

FRA - IAD Jan 15, 2024

Choices of two appetizers: Prawn or Asparagus

The tenderloin is actually good for a change

Chicken sandwich w/fries or Veg Chili options as pre-arrival meals
