Are you a UA appaholic?
I started using the app in earnest a little over a year ago maybe two. It was useful for checking in online. I diligently printed boarding passes at the airport knowing I’d never use it to check into a flight. Games appeared: what a waste, I thought. I don’t know how it happened, but now I’m on the app all the time. The new game “2048” appeared. I played it once to get rid of the red dot. Now I play it a few times on every flight. I use the app for everything. I was handed a paper boarding pass today and have spent the last thirty minutes trying to get the thing online. I don’t think I’m addicted to it, but every small behavior signals that I am. Has any one else become fixated on the app when you travel (and maybe when you don’t)?

Nope. I fly multiple airlines weekly/monthly, sometimes even on the same day with separate tickets. Anyway, after flight completion for each carrier, and verification of correct posting, I would uninstall the app. Gotta keep the clutter to a minimum.
Played whatever games on the UA app once on a flight, and never did after.
I am 100% mobile boarding pass on domestic, and international whenever possible. For the ones requiring presentation of passport, such as United, I just go to the airport machine to check-in, probably add no more than 30 seconds.

The newest versions of the UA Android app cannot be downloaded to my 2017 Huawei cell phone.

I “play” the United app almost everyday and I didn’t known it was a game. But I should have known. Flashing through different and not directly available screens, back tracking and exiting and restarting several times as I attempt to plan, take, and document my travels. I can’t say I’m a winner, but mostly I’m successful.
