Elf Air?

I am looking at booking award travel on United and I see a saver award operated by "Elf Air". I cannot seem to find any information on this airline? Any insight?

Likely a wet lease for a *A carrier. Always be specific on the routing, which would make these kind of inquiries a lot more straightforward.

I looked up the flight number EW4242, which shows on flightaware as Eurowings, which looks to be Lufthansa's discount arm. Not many good reviews.

Not to stereotype but why do I anticipate sub-normal leg room?

Well, they should at least be good at Prep & Landing.

Nope, they were horrific.

I ended up on Eurowings (issued as Elf Air) award tickets on MileagePlus and on both occasions, we were beadly delayed and the plane was in disarray.

Legroom was good though near the front, so Elfs proper they ain't.

If you print your own boarding pass, would that be Elf service?

Well I am one of about 300 people on the planet who didn't particularly like the Tolkien stuff, and still I did not feel like Will Ferrell's character.

So I guess you are right.

And whoever was that prankster inside MileagePlus who renamed EW to "Elf Air" - kudos, great job!
