PP or E+???

Heading back from Italy mid-summer. Have two options (both airports will be somewhat convenient for me, as I can manipulate my travel without any hassle for both). NAP-EWR in 767-3, in PE either bulkhead or second exit row (travelling family of 4). FCO-EWR PPP bulkhead middle. Miles are not an issue, as wife and I have over a million to burn, though PPP a little over 100k each and PE 70k (we're flying over in J on plus points upgrade).

Even though we have miles, is it a significant upgrade into 777 PPP? Or do we suck it up for the PE seats out of NAP?

What is PE vs PP?
UA has PremuimPlus, their branding of premium economy and called PremPlus or PP on FT ( similar to domestic F seat, more recline and better food service than economy)
UA also has EcononyPlus, sometimes call E+ on FT. (extra leg room and standard economy seat)
Both the 763 and 773 have both

PremPlus is a clear improvement over E+

You have 4 cleared upgrades or youre on a waitlist? The former would be hard to believe this far in advance

My interpretation is that OP is to choose between B767-300 Economy Plus seats (NAP-EWR; two rows for 4) and PremiumPlus seats (premium economy; one middle row for 4) on B777 on FCO-EWR. Since it is a daytime flight, either choice should work, but the nonstop NAP-EWR saves travel time and is less stressful.
Good luck.

4 cleared. I saw a posting by one of the bloggers in the fall about UA resuming leisure flights (or changing equipment...can't recall exactly) and logged on immediately to check availability. Lo and behold, 4 immediate clears on an EWR-NAP in July. Grabbed them, then manipulated our schedule around those flights.

Also, yes, I was referring to E+ on the NAP-EWR return.
