As of when I last checked, most of the flights on this route were on the 737-MAX9, which has the a relatively recent version of the UA domestic narrowbody interior (no personal TVs, though).

While the UA 752s are older, they do have 2-2 fully lie flat seats that you would get on international routes.

The Delta A321neos are nice for a domestic configuration, but they won’t be anywhere as nice/comfortable when it comes to the seat as the UA 752s.

N796UA already victim to two cancellations: UA 1128 on 5/23 and UA1666 on 5/25

N223UA was cancelled but then operated via the funky UA3030 flight number on 5/24.

Wonder if the reason for the cancellations or reliability or just pure coincidence?

Wow! This seems to be a pretty incredible pace so far! And smart of UA to have heavy checks done while they couldn’t fly. I hope this slacks up the total fleet across the board and some frequency increases can happen. I’m really struggling in PDX to fly UA due to very few available seats and flights.

PDX is AS and DL category, you are not going to see any increase in flights even these 777 come back, just like how UA cut way back for SEA long long ago

What he said. Living in the smallest west coast metro area leave one with few options getting to Europe by any carrier. PDX-AMS on DL, PDX-FRA on DE (ick), or PDX-LHR on BA. Otherwise you can't get there from here. You have to go somewhere else first. Back ca. 2007 LH tried PDX-FRA, but it didn't last. Worse, many of the returns hit the east coast. When I last returned from Portugal (Sept 2019), the last leg IAD-PDX was 6 hours of Just shoot Me Now even in 1st.

But more on-topic:
When will newly-minted 76L N658UA bust out of GUM?
76A N646UA was marked into ROW for paint, but it has been there for 46 days...
77A's N772UA and N799UA have been in XMN for ages, the latter for three months. Any expectation for when they'll escape?
Finally, with the PW 772 ERs coming back, will that take some pressure off the 789s and the Polaris mods recommence?

75S mods were suspended after the pandemic and some issues arose with the 757 fleet and newly-increased passenger minimum weights imposed by the FAA. I'm not sure if that's been resolved yet. Even still, it isn't clear whether UA will continue with the 75S mods. A shame, really, because the interior refresh was much-needed even if it led to the loss of my favorite narrowbody Y seat (8F on the 75B).

I think the point is that additional domestic 777 capacity at the top of the food chain will shake loose 737s and A319/320s to add capacity back across the system. PDX is still a major UA line station.

788s have been done so unfortunately that's not new Polaris. Fingers crossed with the 777s coming back in we can get the last 789s into mod.
