Some more feedback (also reported in other thread):
- United Club at new EWR Terminal A will open a few months after the terminal. Initially UA and AC were going to operate separate lounges, but UA has taken over AC's lease and will occupy more square footage for a "very large lounge"
- New Terminal A will be mainline, mostly narrowbody operations but UA will also have widebody-capable gates
- UAX operations will return mostly to C-2 at EWR
- EWR C-3 United Club will have showers
- Polaris Lounge EWR opening targeted for "first half" of November (other PLs are due to reopen but since this was an EWR-centric event, nobody knew of timing for other locations)
- Working with PA and TSA to increase staffing at Terminal C checkpoint, they know this is a problem but cannot control staffing levels
- NPS is now a key metric at every level of the organization (this is definitely a Kirby thing)
- UA Q3 promo was intended to be rolled out in two phases: Fly to the Finish; then Breakout Bonus, which is one reason for the confusion
- The future of UA at JFK is very much "up in the air" and it is not assured that UA will acquire slots sufficient to keep the LAX/SFO service. With that said, JFK is managed separately from EWR and people responsible for JFK were not in attendance.

any comments about hiring an actual cleaning company for the restrooms instead the actors they have now?

DC will be 10/19, and IAH/LAX to follow thereafter. ORD is happening too but I'm not sure of dates.
"Some time" in October was the word on the existing lounge in A.

I am glad I went last night and it seemed like everyone had a great time. There were only a few words from United, most notably, Polaris Club at Newark is opening in November, the new United Club will be open in C3 in May 2022 and the C74 club will be renovated shortly after that. United will be up to 400+ departures per day in November up from 326 in October, and the mid 200s currently. There were MileagePlus leaders talking to attendees soliciting some feedback and asking questions.
If they did it again, I would definitely go.

Any word on when they’ll announce the qualification requirements for 2023?

Bar was good. Nice selection of brown liquor... Maker's, Knob Creek rye, Monkey Shoulder blended Scotch. Food (passed and several stations) was very nice.
Part of the reason for going to a PQP-based qualification system is to make annual requirements more dynamic, and this year is proof that as business conditions deteriorate, thresholds will drop accordingly, and rise as trends go the other way. I think we should expect them to change from year to year going forward.

Were masks and proof of vaccination required to go to this event? Wondering if the same policy(s) will be in place in the other upcoming city events.
