I have been successful calling and having the rep manually price the Break from Business ticket using FFC. In one case, they couldn't force the fare and gave me the difference as an ETC. YMMV

I hadn't heard of this until booking a flight today. Noticed the "break from business" fares and booked successfully. I timed out during my first attempt to book, then the website glitched and didn't show me the "is this corporate travel" Yes/No box - I had to close, reopen, and refresh a few times to get it back.
I booked US domestic flights in April and May and got a "break from business" fare for both.

Lots of misinformation here.
The reason it's getting a rocky start is (a) it's new, (b) the corporation has to agree to the employee offer, and (c) corporations are afraid that the options on united.com will confuse travelers who will start booking business travel on united.com, too.
Don't call your corporate travel agency. They won't know anything because this has nothing to do with them.
Back-end incentives don't work like people above describe and also has nothing to do with this.

I have been successful in creating a PNR without paying online and then have the agent sort out in the backend how to use the future flight credit. Worked out since the agent also could not get the fare but once he saw the PNR I had generated it was possible to do this via the rate desk.
- I created the itinerary I wanted on united.com. When i got to the payment screen, I chose "pay in person" with a United ticket office.
- I then called and said I had a future flight credit PNR and a placeholder PNR that showed the itinerary and rate I wanted. She copied everything over, canceled the placeholder PNR, and re-issued. I even got the balance as an ETC.
It helps that I'm GS and the agent knew exactly what do with it. Seemed appreciate for having me lay it all out for her.
On a later call I tried the same and the agent didn't know how to do it so she called her rate desk. but still worked out in the end.

Essentially you can get rate quotes locked in that then the agent can either replicate or not .... if not, the rate desk can. Then you can purchase using FFC.

Tweet'd and called. Both refused to honor the discount. Oh well - the difference is about $15. I just gave up.
The "new" checkout page was horrible! Not to mention that call center wait time is so looooong.
