Been looking at FCO-SFO non-stop in Oct 2024, It is serviced with a 772 daily until Oct 21, 6 days weeks till Oct 27 when the non-stop drops off.

However, starting 1 Oct thru 20 Oct, J is zeroed out -- seats have been sold and PremPlus & Y is still available but no J. Starting 21 Oct J returns until the non-stop is dropped.

I have expected some change in schedule / aircraft but the recent weekly schedule updates have not changed anything. IME once a cabin is zero, a change happens soon afterwards.
Dropping the non-stop earlier in Oct seems odd as Oct is a good time for leisure travel in Europe and Italy.

thoughts?

Agreed, makes no sense. Have seen this recently domestically where a SEA-SFO that I was on went to J0 showing only 3 seats taken (many months out) - I was near certain to see a cancellation soonish, but then to my surprise about a month later it went back to J9 and has been happily there ever since.

I've also seen this behavior intermittently on seemingly random and popular flights, i.e., ones that shouldn't be at risk of cancellation, like an 8am SFO-LAX. But agree that this happening on a seasonal TATL route near the end of its season might be a bit more of a cause for concern.

Does anyone know if UA has already announced any schedule change for its December Buffalo to Washington DC flights? Many thanks

Any announced changes will be reflected now in the online flight search results.

Got updates last night for October flights. Strangely, like 1 min changes to departure/arrival.

UA to end GUM-FUK service after October 2024

I got some bad ones. Ugh. The late EWR-FRA flight got canned. Was re-routed via IAD with a 40 min connection in the middle of December - fat chance I am doing that! A couple of the other options also no longer exist - looks like UA has trimmed the TATL schedule.

It seems like from the "what to do in the event of a schedule change" thread that 926/927, the late SFO-FRA-SFO, also got canned for some period in the winter.

As it always is. The 2nd SFO<>FRA has been "not winter" seasonal for at least 10 years. The exact dates have varied but it was there for the leisure TATL travel budge. Way, way back it did occasional run all year but that was rare.

All that IN space has been pulled already

cfischer Jul 26, 2024 4:32 am

Last night was nasty. I usually wait to call and change things, but I was looking at J0s and J1s already. Major January TCON reductions posted. Ugh. Re-routed via EWR as the gremlin had put me on a 6 p.m. via DEN :o
At least the 752s SFO-BOS are still there

SFO-CHC seasonal route has been reduced to once a week not anymore

That's good. Looks like they changed it back.
