I have various times on my phone
SFO 13:17 = AKL 10:17 (+1 day) = SYD 08:17 (+1 day)
HNL 11:17 = AKL 10:17 (+1 day) = SYD 08:17 (+1 day)
MIA 16:17 = AKL 10:17 (+1 day) = SYD 08:17 (+1 day)
With daylight saving that difference on a clock changes

How about the Cook Islands? Can get there from LAX on NZ. Once at RAR can get a ticket to their beautiful out islands like Aitutaki. Could also get to Guam from Hawaii for a different adventure

But getting 3 business class awards on Air NZ at a peak (NZ) travel time will be a challenge -- hard -- difficult -- impossible.
Basically if using UA ff miles forget about Air NZ for awards

During their dst and us standard time yes. When they move to standard time and northern hemisphere switches to dst then the difference widens up to 2 hours but not all time zones switch and there is a half hour zone in oz.
