I’m 2 for 2 on my flights getting cancelled this week. Today’s sna-sfo was cancelled. So I flew out of LAX, which I hate doing.
Just got a text that my flight tomorrow from SFO-ONT is canceled, so back to LAX and driving east during rush hour.
Did I mention how I hate LAX?
I didn't see any rain this afternoon, but it is windy. Can’t wait to see what happens on Wednesday when I connect back through sfo. I hope the weather will have passed by then.

Wednesday's forecast at SFO is "Cloudy with showers, chance of rain 50%, wind 15-25 mph." For evening, the forecast is "A steady rain, chance of rain 80%."
Is there any chance that UA will extend the waiver period?

From the FAA website just now and "something is telling me" that this is going increase
Due to WEATHER / WIND, there is a Traffic Management Program in effect for traffic arriving San Francisco International Airport, San Francisco, CA (SFO). This is causing some arriving flights to be delayed an average of 2 hours and 42 minutes.

It's nasty, much worse than yesterday. BOS-SFO is on rolling delays. 1 hr, 2 hrs, now 3 hours. Wow, yesterday was only 2 hours. We'll see when we get out here. Yuck.

I got pretty lucky last night. Boarding ogg-sfo started slightly late, took off more or less on time, and landed early. We had our bags and were calling a lyft by the scheduled landing time.
At one point that plane had a 1hr 40min scheduled delay (den-sfo) but they made it all up through the course of the day.

Every time a GDP isn’t working well enough and they have to issue a GS in order to revise the GDP, it’s messy. Although East Coast flights aren’t affected by the GS, revising the GDP means everyone got a new EDCT.

UA has 5 flights a day RNO-SFO. Usually at least the 6 am flight manages to get to SFO reasonably on time, during these increasing frequent weather delays. Today though the 0620 flight is posting a 9 hour, 40 minute departure delay (to 4 pm). The 0817, 1045 & 1220 flights have been cancelled. The 2030 flight remains on the schedule. So basically no one from RNO is going to make their connecting flight through SFO today. Yesterday the last 3 flights of the day were cancelled.

I understand. We are now in the air with a 3 hr delay ... could be worse I guess. At least the captain turned on Ch. 9 ^

Flying out of SFO this morning (NH7), experienced one of the worst take-off line-ups I've ever seen at SFO. Using the 28s, aircraft were lined up all the way to T3. We were in line for about an hour. Long periods went by with no landings or take-offs at all, due I assume to either cross-winds or windshear. Wind was from the southeast, so I was a little surprised they were still using the 28s. Acceptance rate had to be very very low.
