The kale pastry. Again. Other choice was cereal. Fruit bowl was fresh and tasty especially the watermelon squares.

Thank you everyone. I selected the chicken tandoori. I'll be back with a full report on how everything went. I booked this flight a while ago and never expected to have the pre-order. Question is will pre-order be available for meals labeled "snack"? I heard AA is introducing pre-order to American Eagle. I may end up flying IAD-SRQ on United Express in the near future. Would be a nice option to have a pre-order for the cold meal service. AA doesn't even offer a meal for those upfront on DCA-SRQ. Just received a confirmation email from United regarding my pre-order. I have it copy and pasted below. I'll keep my fingers crossed it'll be acknowledged on Wednesday evening.

Hi Longboater,

Thanks for choosing your meal preference for your upcoming flight(s)! Here's what you'll enjoy on board:

UA2180 Washington (IAD) - Fort Myers (RSW) on November 20
Longboater - Tandoori chicken; with shahi paneer and cilantro basmati rice

We try our best to serve you the meals you chose, but we can't guarantee them since availability of meal options may change. If you decide that you'd like something different than the meals that you chose, we're happy to offer other meal options on board.

We recommend saving this email for your records.

Thank you for flying with us.

Why recommend saving the email? Is it so that you can prove to the FA that you ordered that particular meal? I guess that's the downside to pre-orders - "I pre-ordered xxx and you don't have it available??"

Separate subject - here's the snack yesterday EWR-MKE E170

There's a 2 oz. travel size in some retail locations. Otherwise it's available online in a six-pack here: https://shop.cholula.com/Original-Ho...lula@HotSauces

IAH-EWR 18 Nov 1020 am 764 seat 6D

Not sure why I bother since the dishes don’t change. Other choice was Cobb salad. Good crew for first hour then never seen again till time to pick up the empty glasses.

MKE-EWR
Dinner
E170

Chicken with noodles, salad, fruit. For a cold meal, it was fine. Other option was a roast beef sandwich.

11/18/2019 UA 2252 MEX-EWR Dinner

Apparently this route does better plating than Polaris?

PDB of choice, warm nuts had pecans & HUGE cashews

Hames Creek Cabernet '17 - OK sweet/fruity wine
Myka Cellars Chardonnay '17 - Dryer than expected; marginally better than the cab IMO

The (previously chimichurri) beef was smaller portion than in the past & tough as leather.
Roll was the same type for everyone -- and at room temp
Dessert (mocha cake) was stranger/much sweeter than usual
