I'll bite.
There is a promotion period for this offer. Let's say it's 8/30-10-31. I think that if you sign up for the promotion at the appropriate time (during the promotional period) and have already covered some of the necessary qualifications for that promotion during that active promotional term, then you should get credit for the trip(s). (I already know people will pipe up saying that this defeats the whole purpose of the deal....I understand).
So, for example, if you took a qualifying trip on 9/15 and signed up for the promotion on 9/30, your 9/15 trip should qualify as fulfilling part of the requirement. UA knows what flights you have taken and certainly can adjjust your requirements to earn extra points if you already have several trips under your belt.
It certainly would be fairer than discovering that the promotion exists when you already have had 3 trips that qualify in September before finding out about the deal.

Of course this will never happen, but it is fun to dream positively.

Book and take a trip in a premium cabin 2 times by October 31, 2018 to get 120,000 bonus award miles.

No chance... although I booked one qualifying trip last Thursday, so that's unfortunate.

I never got any notification either. I only found out about it via FT. I clicked on the link in this thread and plugged in my number.
It was the only way I found out that I actually had an offer.
(I presume you did the same and found out it was a no-go )

I thought this was surely spam until I came here and saw this thread. My offer was for 68,000 miles for 1 trip in premium cabin before 10-31-18. Like others I have other travel already booked for the fall where this might have been a decision point if received earlier.

I think United's success is with marketing. Got notified via United App that there was a promotion I can register.

My Deal: UP to 6400 Miles
1) Book and fly a roundtrip > $200. 1300 Bonus Miles
2) Purchase and fly in Economy Plus 600 Bonus Miles
3) Complete both activities: 4,500 Bonus Miles

Not sure where I'd spend all those miles!
Similar to mine. Mine was 1500 miles, but why buy E+ when I get it free?

mine was same for 1900 miles. As a silver.

Typically, I wait until check in, but for $15-20 on a short haul segment, which I’ve been offered, might be worth it. At $19, that’s 1 cent per mile.
