Withdraw upgrade request?

Is there a way to withdraw an upgrade request using a regional or system wide certificate after it has partially cleared (one of the two segments) and recover the certificates? Thanks for any advice on how to do this.

Yes, it's easy. Just call and ask them to refund your upgrade(s) and return you to coach. I just did it two days ago-got the CPU anyway.

Your original Economy booking class must be available in order to do this.

i was going to say this.

Also, I realize OP is asking about a cert, but for Award Uogrades (i.e., using miles), the normal award redeposit fee applies, based on status

Thanks for the replies. I called the 1K line as suggested and they rebooked us in Y and redeposited the certs -- and we then got some of those upgrades anyway on a complimentary basis, which was very nice.
