So that would be your play? Of all the things someone could ask Leon Panetta (irrespective of one's politics), a former Sec. of Defense, Director of the CIA, White House Chief of Staff, member of Congress, etc. you'd step of to the plate and say, "Excuse me Mr. Panetta, were you aware that today is Pi Day?"
I think one could do better.

He was sitting on 5B (B737-900) on UA 241 ATL-ORD UA241 on April 8. He had a Masters souvenir bag.
I am wondering how the FAs felt when they realized their boss is onboard.
Anyway. the flight was smooth and uneventful. One FA took a selfie with him.
