Last weekend DCA-ORD, sat in front of Rev. Jesse Jackson. I haven't seen him as much in the media the way we used to back in the 80's and early 90's. It took me a few minutes to make the connection, but as soon as I spoke to him, his voice was so recognizable.

In the ~10 times I have flown this route in the last 5 years I have seen him 3 of them. He must be doing mileage runs.

Horace Grant (of '90s Chicago Bulls fame) was in 2A on UA269 yesterday 2/25 heading home from LAX. Quiet during the entire flight and, while I took note of a nearly 7 foot guy boarding, I didn't recognize him from 3F until we were disembarking and I caught one of the Bulls championship rings that he was wearing.

Was seated next to Jill Trenary on a flight last year, DEN-COS. We had a nice discussion for many minutes, talking about our kids respective schools, opinions on each school district, talked about where she lives, compared to the area I live in, etc. Never mentioned skating, but I live in COS and we have plenty of famous skating history in COS, heck I was neighbors with Lisa Marie Allen in the early 80's... Anyhow, mid flight she gives me her first name, and I did the "wait, you're Jill Trenary"! She was incredibly cordial, both before and after I figured out who she was.

Leon Panetta on UA 525 IAD-SFO on 3/14. Very polite to the people who came up to him, unfortunately I wasn't able to ask him if he knew it was Pi Day.

He was my seatmate back in 2014 (IAD-SFO). Very (n.b. very) nice person and we had a great chat during the flight and he flies SFO-DC quite often
