Borrowing from previous threads started by schley and revived in 2016 by UA_Flyer, the baton this year has passed to me and I continue the tradition of ranking the results of the Lifetime United Flight Miles (BIS) Ranking thread for the end of 2017.

Think of this as the door jam where your parents would measure you and your siblings height as you grew over the years. It will change and grow each year. Where will it rank amongst your peers? This will show where you rank amongst FTer's for United lifetime flight miles.

Let’s set all the angst aside and see where you rank. Simply log into your UA account and report whatever number is next to "Lifetime Flight Miles." Let's see the HUGE numbers from some of you, and of course Tom with his truly incredible, fast growing number that has put him about half way to Mars!

Note this is only for your Lifetime United BIS numbers. If you want to rank your 2017 United BIS flight miles you can do it at this thread: End of 2017 United BIS Rankings or How Much Did You Really Fly Last Year on United? . (To get your 2017 United BIS flight miles you can subtract your 2016 lifetime flight miles, such as recorded last year in the above thread, from your end of 2017 lifetime miles this year.)

Based on current Lifetime balance and what I have reserved so far: 3.5 million miles. I doubt that I will reach 3.6 this year.

I’m currently at 4,349,449 but given the pace of my travel, I’ll add ~80K to 100K by year end. In the next 3 weeks I’ll add at least another 30K as I’ve got BOS-SIN-ICN-SIN-ICN-KIX-TPE-BOS already booked by 9/15. Although a lot of the inter-Asia is on *A and not UA BIS. Plus the market is hot, which always means unexpected travel. Given my age and rate of travel I estimate I’ll retire just about the time I reach 5M miles, but I doubt I’ll be able to keep my feet on the ground.
