Weather that is harmless to one plane but affects the flow/capacity of an airport generally affects only arrivals. Then departure delays occur only when such aircraft are delayed arriving into SFO earlier. So flights departing SFO before ~9 am would not see much of today's weather delays.

All SFO-bound AC and UA flights delayed right now, by multiple hours. Going to be a long afternoon in the Maple Leaf Lounge.

Great, still sitting here in YYC with the latest departure for 5954 estimated 16:27. This will be the third set back. GA more confident this time we will be going. We'll see. Lucky I had a good layover time in SFO before my flight down to SYD tonight.

Thanks all, made it to SFO (lovely clear skies now) with plenty of time to spare. We boarded 5954 around 16:15 and pulled back from the gate shortly after 16:30. Taxied out to a holding position on the tarmac and finally departed at around 5:22 arriving SFO 19:16. The impact of the day's weather obvious in SFO which was relatively quiet for a Friday evening.

3/26 UA858 PVG-SFO left over 1:45 late due to ATC. According to a friend on the flight, they kept on pushing it back every ten minutes with no explanation

3/26 UA 953 MUC-ORD delayed almost an hour. Late inbound AC. Looks like it left ORD about 45 mins late. No weather, at ORD so not too sure what happened.
Looks like arrival back in ORD is only 4 mins late, so headwinds on the return don't seem to be high.

There were rainstorms and ATC delays at ORD yesterday. At least in the morning when we wereleaving.

Interesting... flight was scheduled for a 763 but looks like it went mx and swapped to a 764. Pretty impressed they only went out with an hour's delay.
