Guys, as a multi year sUA 1K flyer, it's truly amazing to behold this type of conversation so long after the merger. Clearly another example of the emperor's new clothes that the Continental crowd brought to bear when they engineered the reverse takeover of United Airlines. The first class seats on the B737 (an aircraft type that sUA had already retired) are inferior for several reasons.
1. B737 pitch is shorter than A320.
2. Configuration of the seat legs... Can't fit a large bag under aisle seat on B737. Airbus work fine for both seats.
3. A320 recline is deeper than B737 (this is big on red eyes.)
4. A320 headrest adjustable 6 ways vs 4 ways for B737. Also, A320 headrest extends higher than B737.
5. Airbus fuselage is easily 12 inches wider for added passenger comfort. Aisle is about twice as wide as 737. A320 is quieter. Other design advantages as well. And no, the Airbus doesn't break down more often than the Boeing. Urban myth.

I prefer the Airbus if I'm in a bulkhead with the disproportionate legroom.
Otherwise the larger recline becomes a liability when the person in front reclines.
If not in a bulkhead find the 737s roomier.
I'm guessing with the new seats across the fleet this will all be normalized and there won't be much difference in experience.

If you want to see problems with reclined seats in F class, try some of DL's configurations. I forget what aircraft I was in last year, but the pitch was noticeably tighter than anything I experienced in UA or AA and it was a struggle getting out of my window seat with the person in front of me reclined.

By the way, I find this thread bizarre. I've never been uncomfortable in any CO or UA FC seat.
