Codeshare miles?
Sorry for the simple question. I think I know the answer, but thought I would throw this out to the experts.
Do you receive any EQM or miles at all for code shares on any non-star alliance carriers? I have two completely separate flights I am booking. One would include a segment on Kuwait Airways and the second would include a segment on Cathay Pacific.
I am booking these through UA.com and the bulk of the flights are on UA metal (other than these segments).
I believe the miles for these are non existent for MP. Can someone verify or provide more info?
Thanks

Miles earning is based on the operating carrier's fare class. Since neither of those carriers are list on United's partners page: http://www.united.com/CMS/en-US/Mark...spx?itemid=304 you will not earn any miles on those segments.

UA codeshare's operated by "MP Partners" (non *A carriers with a special relationship) can earn RDMs but not not PQMs. Those MP partners are listed on the page referenced in the previous post.
Neither of the airlines you reference are MP Partners -- so no PQMs and no RDMs.
