UA Codeshare with VS and EI Booking Ref

Hi All,
Seeking your advice on this. I booked a trip from the US to LHR then onto EDI. All of this is under one reservation from UA. My trip from LHR-EDI is via Virgin's Little Red. Under my bookings on UA's site it gives me additional booking ref's via "Virgin Atlantic Airways Confirmation Number". It also says this flight is Operated by AER LINGUS FOR VIRGIN ATLANTIC.

So I put VS' booking code in both their site and EI's site as well and neither take.

Has anyone had any luck with this?
Thanks

Call EI and ask for the confirmation code. Calling UA might work but best going to the flight operator.

EI isn't the flight operator as such - they just provide the planes and crew. It's a Virgin flight and I'd be surprised if the public facing portion of Aer Lingus can do anything whatsoever with bookings etc.

Thanks for the responses. I'll call them and see what happens.

Nope...call VS. It is a wetlease operation where the plane is owned by EI but they have nothing to do with selling the flights or handling any of the booking services.

Did this end up working out? I booked a flight from ABZ to LHR on Virgin Atlantic via the UA website (continuing on a UA flight from LHR to IAH). When I put the Virgin Atlantic confirmation number that UA gives me into the Virgin Atlantic website it doesn't find anything.

Update: Turns out I needed to append my middle initial to my first name when trying to access me reservation booked via ua.com on the virgin atlantic website. When I do that, I see the reservation.

That's quite curious UA sells you the interline via VirginLittleRed instead of through one of their JV partners.

Yup. That's all it took for me as well. I had to call their help line to figure it out. Rather silly I never figured that out my own.
