Agree completely!

I don't know what you guys did to the app, but in today's release, the responsiveness of the app is MUCH improved.

If you needed Uber to get the funds to clean up the code, then I'm all for it.

The addition of Uber aside, I am still having an issue with the airport maps functionality in the United app. In theory it is a good feature, but it is difficult to switch from the airport overview to the individual terminal closeups. From the overview, you have to step through the close-up view of each terminal in serial fashion using the "Next" button - there doesn't seem to be a way to select a terminal directly. I vaguely recall this was possible two upgrades ago, but the current iteration and the prior one had this same issue.

I am running Android 4.1.2 on a Driod Razr Maxx, for what it's worth (i.e., not a top-of-the-line phone).

Me too. I wish they would change the map provider. Or at least have an alternative with the same maps that are on the UA website.

Not for me. This app gets worse with every release on my tablet. In chronological order, my major problems have been:

1. Starting with the April update, most of the dates on the reservations are wrong on the booking list. I have no idea where they're coming from. (Note that they're right on the rare occasion that I can get a reservation to come up.)
2. Starting in June or so, the app hangs about 80% of the time when opening reservations. I have never gotten beyond two res views without requiring a reboot.
3. Now with the latest release, clicking on Uber instantly crashes the app 100% of the time.

I'm thankful that my phone isn't set for auto-update, so I still have an old version that actually works.

Have you cleared the app's cache? If you did and the problem persists, have you cleared the Android cache partition?

Which tablet? When I used to use it on my old rooted, custom modded Xoom I would have issues. On my current Nexus 5/7, it works fine. It is pretty clear that the current app is not really optimized for tablet use, however.

The lastest version of the App is crashing as soon as loaded on my Samsung Tablet. Agree with ajGoes as well about reservations hanging al; the time, even on older versions.

Is there any way to obtain an older version of the app than 2.0.16 though, as to have that is better than nothing at all with an eight segment MR to do this week.

It wasn't me! I've had few problems with the updates, though I haven't exercised them as much as I'm sure a lot of users do. I'll repeat what I asked the previous poster: Have you cleared the app's cache? If you did and the problem persists, have you cleared the Android cache partition?

I won't swear to this but I'm pretty sure I had crashing issues too when the redesigned app dropped. Clearing the app's cache is quick, easy, harmless, and always the first thing to try when you have problems.

it's never worked. at this point, you're better off using google maps - they have gates numbered and other features marked at most airports when you zoom in.

My next door neighbor loaded the UA app onto his Note this morning to do a little investigation on my behalf, as I have now tried everything to get the App to work.

He was able to navigate fine until he hit the Uber button. Then the app crashed.

Can we PLEASE have a version of the App without Uber, until this can be sorted out.
