Using ANA and/or Air Canada's Websites to Search for MileagePlus Awards?

I know ANA and AC have a pretty good list of available Award flights on *A. Dumb question, but I cannot find out how to look at Award availability on either site. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

you will not be able to book award tickets on ANA or AC (site) with MP miles

If you want to use the ANA to look at inventory, see
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...ad-merged.html (PMUA but the info on the ANA tools has not chnaged)

Sure you can. You do it via United, but UA has access to those carriers' award inventory.

based on OP Q, was trying to point out "you will not be able to book award tickets on ANA or AC (site) with MP miles". Others have asked a similiar question in the past and I have clarified the response. Understand the response read out of context was unclear.

Thanks, I know you cannot book on ANA or AC with MP miles, as I said in OP I want to be able to "look at Award Availability", not book.

I cannot find the place on either site to "look at availability" Where is it?

Thanks

have you read the links provided???
-- for ANA it is a two step process unless you have ANA miles plus you need to register and get accounts for the programs. How do all this and links are in the referenced threads.

Phantom *A award availability on ANA award tool?

I was looking at an Europe-US booking on Austrian Airlines, and it showed availability consistently on united.com , aeroplan.com and on ANA mileage tool.

VIE-IAD 6/28/14 OS93

But when I tried to book it on united.com it errors out with no availability. I called into mileage plus cust. service, and the rep said there's no availability.
I can't unfortunately go farther to book on Aeroplan or ANA because I don't have the miles.

From what I read, ANA tool is realtime availability for *A award seats, and it should be very reliable?? Is it possible to have ANA tool show phantom availability?

Anything I can do to get the booking done?

ANA website for star alliance awards

It's been years since I've used it. I went to take a look today and noticed now you can only use the tool if you have ANA miles balance. Too bad as I remember it being a great source. Any other websites that may offer what ANA used to?

You don't need a miles balance to search with ANA tool.

Yes, no balance needed. Discussed throughout the forum - and on sbm12's blog.

Okay I'll try the ANA website again, thanks.

sbm12's blog doesn't work.
