I somehow completely missed the memo on PQD for qualifying starting this year. I'm Platinum this year but can only hope for Silver next year.
YTD Premier qualifying miles: 53,892
YTD Premier qualifying segments: 12
YTD Premier qualifying dollars: $2,005
4 flight segment minimum: 4 of 4
Lifetime flight miles: 461,807
I have one more LAX<-->TYO planned. I don't have the credit card. Is there anything I can do short of spending necessary PQD to get to gold for next year? Thanks!

- You could move out of the U.S. and establish residency in a foreign country—and prove it.
- You could apply for a credit card and rack up $25,000 quickly. (My wife's very good at that.)
Otherwise, the only sure way to get Gold is to buy flight(s) to the tune of $2995 (net!) and fly before January 1, 2015.

PQD/BIS mile: $0.43
2X RPU's in addition... this looks like the last update for me, as I will be only flying another 10,000 BIS for the rest of the year. Should hit $47,000 PQD and $0.45 PQD/BIS mile.... next stop (hopefully) is GS.

Well so much for "that"...
Passed 175k last night (MAN > MUC on LH)
134 segments
PQD - N/A - UK address
My thoughts of "relaxing" towards year end are but a distant memory..
From November 23rd till December 13th I have:
MAN > ZRH > GRU > ZRH > MAN (stop)
MAN > IST > SIN > IST > MAN (stop)
MAN > IAD > SAV > IAH > LHR (stop)
Suspect I'll finish the year at around 215k - perhaps as much as 220k with bits & bobs around Europe
Vast majority in coach....
Our Company is in the process of being acquired ($2.85Bn), no idea what next year will hold - or even what the travel policy will be... Insight welcome if I've given enough "hints" to an FT'er..

My company (at the time, about 25,000 employees globally) was acquired in late 2010. It actually took a while for the global travel policies to align. For the most part, the travel policy looked mostly the same in 2011 and it was in 2012 where they started harmonizing policies. Things like corporate credit card policy, preferred hotels (and they're still trimming that list down, sadly), travel agency/portal, expense policy (for instance, we used to be allowed airline club reimbursement if you traveled over a certain threshold, but the new overlords got rid of that). If your merger is similar, you probably have a year or so where the travel policy is close to what you currently have.

Never know, could be a walcoamed change. It depends how long it takes to integrate systems but you should have at least some time under the old regime if I had to guess. Many other issues to work out before travel.

Just made it over the 1K bar after a short SNA --> SFO on Tuesday:
YTD Premier qualifying miles: 100,460
YTD Premier qualifying segments: 49
YTD Premier qualifying dollars: Over $10,000 (about $10,150)
I was sweating the PQD minimum because a lot of travel was on ~$300 Government round trips between SFO and IAD. A few pricey city pairs and a short notice non-GOvernment SFO - IAD trip fixed that.
About 3 more trips this year. Hopefully 1K status will help upgrade chances on an SFO - KOA H fare next week.
