SMF-IAH UA505 on 8/26
Southwest chicken salad (romaine, corn salsa, chicken) or cheeseburger
served with roll and tortilla soup
meals not prioritized by status
salad was fine, uninteresting and rather bland.
soup was spicy enough to take paint off the fuselage, i ate one bite and returned it
312 ale was a welcome addition to the beverage portfolio, i had 2 en route.

SFO-ORD
A320 (Wi-Fi, no IFE)
1:15pm departure
I guess I got one of the new salads too - the Strawberry Fields salad. It had a chicken breast (looked like a whole portion size, not the half size that I've seen in pictures on this forum!). On top were mandarin orange slices, strawberries, and feta cheese. Served with a balsamic vinaigrette. I thought it was quite filling, and the ingredients were fresh. The other choice was the chipotle chicken wrap.
On the side was the tortilla chicken soup, which I really liked. Though a bit salty, I liked that it had real kick to it!
Chocolate chip cookie served warm later.
Excellent service on this flight!

I was just going to put "wow" but then it told me that my post was too short...so I had to come up with something.

8/28 1522 SFO-ORD. Spinach Cannelloni. Honestly pretty decent, way better than the alternative chicken thing (not sure how they decided to describe it on this particular flight, but you know which one I'm talking about). The best praise I can give is that it's my favorite UA midcon dinner, putting it on par with my least favorite AA midcon dinner.

Flight/Route/Date: UA765/DEN-LAX/Aug. 29, 2014
Aircraft/Tail/Seat: 757-200/N576UA/3E
Departure Time/Duration: 6:10 p.m./2:26
Meal: Dinner
No new food yet, but I like the cheeseburger, so it was OK.
Drinks and nuts. Red wine to drink.
Cheeseburger or "southwest-style salad with chicken." The soup was called "enchilada" but was the usual tortilla-style, mildly spicy.
Chocolate-chip cookies for dessert.

Flight/Route/Date: UA1538/LAX-DEN/Sep. 1, 2014
Aircraft/Seat: 737-800/1F
Departure Time/Duration: 7:01 p.m./2:14
Meal: Snack
The southwest-style chicken snack plate; I prefer it to the cous-cous and artichoke heart version. I do miss something sweet on the tray, though. Sorry about the color balance; the cabin was dark.
Instead I had a decaf with Bailey's, which effectively cancelled out the vile instant coffee. We had DirecTV and wifi, which I only used to access the map.

I had the new Chicken Wrap this week. A nice touch is that it is served with a big handful of grapes. Another winner!
(Or, maybe I should say, a handful of big grapes? In any case, way better than the two grapes that are included in the breakfast fruit salad on some flights.)
