United.com Fail

I got an email today for my upcoming mid-August trip from CAE to JAC. Even though they've got my PNR for the trip listed on the email, they want to sell me a hotel room in Houston for the trip. (The trip routes through ORD, going and coming.) Is this yet another fail of the less-than-vaunted Shares system, along with the United.com "fail" on this?

I think SHARES s anticipating the WX-based irrops that will reroute you through IAH, requiring an overnight in IAH. You better bite.

No, I think you just made yourself look like a fool by trying to blame SHARES for a poorly designed marketing system that has absolutely nothing to do with the backend system that tickets passengers.

Not everything that happens at United is SHARES fault (nor Unimatic, which disappeared months ago - which you'd never know reading various threads here)
