Anyone has 4M miles or more?

Just wondering how many Ryan Binghams are around...

Are you referring to Lifetime flown miles on UA? If so, a FT member has 10+M on UA.

Are you referring to one's bank of redeemable MileagePlus miles?

He did 1MM last year alone actual BIS. Think first time. Also think is was usually 600K-800K per year on average actual BIS.

Not sure how long it took but he flew 1 million last year which I find more incredible than the 10 million.

According to this poll:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...ght-miles.html

There are 4 FT'ers reporting lifetime miles greater than 4M with UA.

Banking RDMs these days is probably not that prudent, given all the devaluations and such. I don't think it's a bad idea to keep around enough for a standard F award (say you have old relatives living overseas or something) but I started trimming down my account balance last year and will continue to do so.

I find either incredible. I'd pretty much kill myself if I had to fly 1 mil in a year commercial or 10mil in my lifetime.

I wonder if there are any medical adverse effects with this number of miles, especially related to exposure on Ionizing radiation.

I think plenty of people are around wondering what kind of job requires such number of miles...

many airline personnel fly at those levels (just not mileage earning frequent flyer miles)

It's mentioned several places on FT. Hint: he is the subject of a new TV show on Spike.

Did some research... it is not easy to surprise or impress me, but Tom managed to do it.

Hm. No, I would not want a life like this, but if Tom enjoys it, let him roll on.
