Note that Dole whip machine has moved from the bar area to the back right corner of the food room (can see in background of pic on Post #210). Gave me quite a scare on Saturday!

Exactly. It is where the Guam a/c goes to on arrival. The 773 can be accomodated at most of the G gates. I just don't understand why UA just doesn't tow it over to a G gate afterwards. There are G gates available after the mid-continents depart. D1 only has 2/3rds the space needed for a sold-out wide-body. Maybe it's to reduce food consumption at UC if they can get people to head to gate instead of UC after clearing TSA

Is that reddish powder (li hing??) still provided as an optional topping?
Great to see the Dole Whip moved out of the bar; I won’t need to stiff the bartender.

Looks like things have changed a fair amount since I was last there in 2019. Looking forward to my next visit in a month or two.
I do remember that in 1999, the Air New Zeland lounge was where either the HIS Lea Lea Lounge or the Ko Olina Lounge is now. That year a group of our friends flew to Tonga (on Air NZ) around the 26th of December, celebrated New Years Eve, crossed the date line to Apia, Samoa did it again, and then flew back. I was a lifetime Red Carpet Club, and a 1K. My BF was a 1K, and one of our friends was also a 1K. We went to the Air NZ lounge to wait, for the flight after the Red Carpet Club closed for the night and convinced the agent that with me and my two Red Carpet Club guests, the 3 1Ks and their single guests (counting me again), we covered all 7 people. She thought we were very funny, and let us in.
I remember really enjoying it, mostly because the staff was so nice. It was pretty small, but there were not many people.
