Airport Lijiang / LJG

I can't find this particular airport on United.com? I know Air China flies there....
But it's not even on United.com search....

However, award to JHG(in the same province as above) is searchable, just terrible flight schedule.

Any suggestions?

We flew to LJG as part of multi-leg itinerary in April. I had to call UA for them to book it. Air China only flies from Chengdu (CTU) but it's worth a stop there to see the pandas.

True that, come to think of it I was on China Southern or China Eastern when I last flew out of Lijiang.

I think I flew there on MU connecting in Kunming. For intra-Chinese flights, you can find cheaper fares separately on Ctrip.com. Also, the flights can be cheaper even a week before departure. Booking a month in advance may seem reasonable with US airlines, but it's actually pretty far ahead for Chinese airlines.

I can fly from my home airport all the way to LJG included in the award. I would stop at CTU, but limited time, I want to hit LJG and JHG in about 10 days or so, then make a visit in another city on the southeastern size. Thanks I will call and book it.

LJG is a popular spot for summer travel. CA usually sells Y fares only and does not release any award spaces.

I see all the JHG award flights available from CTU on United.
Howeverm, LJG is not even an airport listed on United.com

JHG only depart at 9:30pm
LJG only depart 6am

Both times are brutal when I'm coming from the States, I'd need to fly to PEK, then CTU, then JHG or LJG. That's 40+ hours flight with layovers etc.

China Eastern provide like 10 flights daily from Kuming, might be a better option if I could find a low mileage award on Delta.
