If you open your booking on the SQ web site (the regular site, not the mobile site), you can click "Select Meals" and see what types of meal service they will offer. You can also pick specific dishes ahead of the flight if you want to.

Went to look for SIN-MLE tix (not related to our bonanza which decimated my mileage account :D ) and as others have posted I'm not seeing anything operated by SQ on any route... even SIN-BKK!!

I'm hoping this is SQ shutting down *net access and not UA blocking it. Though I doubt there's much money shuttled between *A entities to pay for the award bookings and this just took ridiculous miles (>20m) off UA's sheets; they [UA] should be quite happy about that.

2x SQ J JFK-FRA as a replacement for UA F IAD-FRA in a larger, already booked Asia F award itinerary. Married that up with LAX-JFK in ps F.

Net cost - 0 additional miles, refund of $2.64 in taxes :D

SYD-SIN-MUC F x2 in Nov - changed prior US award
SFO-SIN F x2 in Mar - Position for ex-RGN KE F fare - 140k UA miles
SIN-MLE-SIN J x2 in Mar - 60k US miles

Well, certainly the wordiest way! And one of the more idiosyncratic reviews I've ever read...or, at least, made it maybe 25 percent through. Lots of nuggets in there, and lots of stuff that left the fellow unimpressed. But I think this comment about an SQ representative was my favorite:

"However, I was more than unimpressed at the fact that she was using a Cathay Pacific pen to write with. This unsettled me."

Yeah, I noticed that one too. Seriously, how anal-retentive is this guy?
Some more gems:

"The Raffles and First Class carpets were clean and were nicely groomed. This I thought was acceptable and satisfactory." - Good it was acceptable and satisfactory. I can't even imagine the complaints you would've made otherwise...

"At the end, the stewardess says, “Thank you for flying Singapore Airlines”. She is joined by a stewardess of similar height and they both say, “H.” “Have a” “pl” “plea” “s” “sant” “flight”. This is something that should also be resolved. The two stewardesses should re-coordinate their efforts in saying the last sentence in the safety video"

"I reclined my seat twice and the seat performed this test well. The footrest has blue pads and is connected to the back of the seat in front"

"In addition, the toothbrush and toothpaste set is quite poor. The toothbrush has no higher and lower bristles for better cleaning. Also, it’s grey in colour and in addition, the design has not changed. " - Oh, the horror!

"Special meals and baby food were served at 1328 [...] Lunch was given to me at 1335 [...] At 1448 – one hour and 13 minutes after the food was given to me, they were collected which was ample time for us all to eat while being distracted by the KrisWorld. [...] Seven minutes later, I made my way to the toilet for an inspection [...] At 1522, duty free was… ‘served’." - I guess every minute matters...

"In the toilet, I only produced watery excrement and hence on this flight, there was no solid excrement test to be had."

"Hot towels were handed out at 2125 by DPK and were collected but this time she failed to say thank you to every passenger." - Again, the horror!

The reason why TG shows up as a 747-200 is because THAI loads the flights as having the equipment code of 747 on all of the major GDS. They use 747 and 744 to differentiate seating configurations. Because the code 747 is used it shows up as 747-200. This is not an error with UA or SHARES but with TG...

TG uses the code 747 as a retrofitted (with new J / F seats) 747-400.

Not the best idea, but when they have various versions of their 744, that is the best they can do. TG does not operate the 747-200 !

well, I have confirmed with SQ and I have seat assignments.... we can all hope!

I am a lawyer. Good god, SQ would be open to almost all states consumer protection laws if they re-nigged on these reservations. At the very least, UA would be liable, and they would pass it on to SQ. If SQ does try to get out of this, a simple lawyer letter would do the trick. The problem is that the average flyer would not do this. I would. Either UA or sq would remedy the problem.

It's under "Plan & Book"

Either do a mouseover over "Plan & Book" and choose "Manage Booking" in the pop-down menu. Enter the SQ PNR and traveler last name.

Or click on "Plan & Book" and choose "Retrieve Booking". Enter the SQ PNR and traveler last name.

This seems broken for my reservations. I enter the query and after thinking a while the query page simply repaints. I can see the reservation via checkmytrip or the mobile site - just not the normal site.

We were trying to decide if we should go to Thailand or on a cruise from Rome/Athens/Egypt this fall. When I noticed a few SQ segments available on Saturday I tested several different itineraries until very late at night. As soon as I woke up Sunday I got on the phone and it took nearly 3 hrs to get our itinerary reserved.

Initially the first agent wouldn't work with me to book it, but the 2nd was very helpful in putting in each segment. We created it on one PNR, but split it so we could use miles from each of our accounts. One ticketed immediately on Sunday, but the other didn't ticket until I called back Monday.

2x ATL-IAH-DME-SIN-BKK/BKK-HKT/HKT-HKG-SFO-IAD-ATL 140k miles each.

This is all in First on the 3 cabin aircraft, or Business on the 2 cabin, except for the first segment to IAH in Y because it's a one class CRJ.

I'm thinking of moving things around and changing the BKK-HKT segment to an open jaw CNX-HKT. Also changing the HKT-HKG segment to HKT-BKK-HKG so we could go in Thai F instead of HKT-HKG in J.

Bear in mind that the SQ website is a monumental *********** since their 'upgrade' last year. If it doesn't work, this is probably a good / expected result...when some other passenger pulls up your passport & contact details attached to their itinerary...well, that's a bit worse!
