I think SQ may have pulled ALL inventory from starnet (or at least from UA). SQ operates a ton of flights a day on the SIN-CGK route and as of right now i'm seeing nothing available over multiple months in any class.....

It could be the old Starnet blocking. Nothing is showing up on UA's site as of right now, on any SQ route I search for. I usually can snag CGK-SIN and KUL-SIN in J, and nothing is available even in Y, for any date....

Edit to add: LH SIN-CGK shows up but nothing related to SQ.

On UA I can't see intra-Asia flights even though they show up as available in C on ANA tool. Looks like SQ still allows access from at least ANA tool because ANA blocks F/C on 77W and 380 no matter what.

I don't know whether it's SQ or UA, but you can't even book some SQ revenue tickets on UA.com:

"united.com could not find any available seats meeting your requirements. You may modify your search criteria, or call 1-800-396-1751 for assistance."

So SOMETHING is simply preventing SQ from being "seen" at UA's website. The same is true for TG. Try pulling up a revenue ticket for BKK-HKT or SGN. Same notice.


The laugher is that there are no flights bookable between BKK and SIN, despite being the two carriers' hubs. (!!??)

I see Thai and it lets me book it (as an award): (Also SIN -> BKK in Biz or SIN -> HKG -> BKK in first no SQ)
But it is blocked on a paid ticket but not an award, maybe it will bomb out on the award after entering the passenger names?

I guess I got lucky this morning around 11:30am EDT. I could see the SIN-JFK was available in J on UA.com (SQ26) but it would not allow me to book. Got the message that availability had changed so I called UA and got a great agent. She said she cannot see it but said she could call IT to see if they could see it and grab it. They apparently forced it in and I got the seat. Now I see that nothing is available!

It's ticketed so hopefully I'll be ok.

LOL...when will UA.com finally be able to display the correct aircraft!? I hope none of you SQ bookers looking for a 777-300ER find yourself on a 777-300 just because UA often likes to add an "ER" on the end! :D

The reason why TG shows up as a 747-200 is because THAI loads the flights as having the equipment code of 747 on all of the major GDS. They use 747 and 744 to differentiate seating configurations. Because the code 747 is used it shows up as 747-200. This is not an error with UA or SHARES but with TG.

I'm well aware of what TG does...still no other site refers to the TG 747 All Series (or new new config 747) as 747-200.

UA also randomly adds ER to various non-ER 777s...e.g. the 777-300 flights between MEL and BKK on TG and the SQ MEL-SIN flights which are NOT operated by the 77W (SQ237/238).
