I can certainly understand Koko's frustration. For whatever reason, less and less premium space on the "good" airlines seems to be available to MP members. One of the previous biggest benefits of *A for MP members was the wide range of quality carriers with premium award availability but that seems to be rapidly disappearing (last weekend's SQ awardfest not withstanding).

As this is affecting AC and US, as well, I've put in a mod request to move this to the LH forum, since it's their system advertising the false availability.

I couldn't agree more. It's always been bad, but seems to have gotten worse since the merger.
Additionally, I disagree completely but that's beside the point in this case. *A availability has never been easier to find thanks to the various tools available. |

Trying to burn off my UA miles, looked to book some flights. Over and over again, it shows Saver O on LH, and over and over it bombs out after the payment page, and on the phone they say, sorry it's not available at all.
Stupid merger. Stupid SHARES. Stupid UNITED.

Well, my apologies to dot bomb since it is LH's fault.
Still, not very cool. Eventually I found some space in business on a 747-8. No caviar, but my wife and I can play footsie in the footsie seats!

May I say there are a lot of stupid UA flyers as well? :D
dot bomb was also VERY unhelpful finding me space NBO-FRA (and that was not a LH issue, it was ET and MS). I had hoped that it would be a more useful tool than the old dot bomb. But it is not. KVS, Expertflyer, etc are definitely still the way to go. That and/or spending an hour on the phone with an agent. |

Agreed - very untruthful of Lufthansa.
If I'm looking for LH F space, I use ANA. It still seems accurate. |

Being a refugee from DL, my impression of the UA board here has always been that people tend to over-criticize UA for whatever reason. I do think UA flyers are a little bit 'spoiled'. If UA doesn't support online partner award search like most other airlines in the first place, maybe no one would be complaining at all. |

That seems to be the only time LH is actually releasing F award seats. I've seen O>2 on several occasions this summer 2-3 days out on the 74H flight IAD-FRA-IAD. Good luck... I've been checking religiously looking for the same thing! |

Agreed. Also keep an eye out for IAD-MUC [has the new C/F product as well]. Plus JFK, EWR, CLT, DTW, ATL, etc are all a short flight out of IAD if F availability opens up. One of the huge perks of having all award change fees being wavied ^

Yeah, being able to change awards for free is why we (we are both 1k MMs) are burning miles before we let go of 1k at the end of the year. @:-)

Thought I had nailed a pair of F seats MUC-EWR, but alas the "Ghost" was haunting us again.
