For everyone complaining about the phantom LH F availability, are you also verifying that LH F shows up as available on ANA's award website? Or are people just complaining about the united.com hiccups that's been known for a while showing LH F awards that are not truly available. LH only releases F award seats 1-2 weeks in advance, so I would be surprised if they were truly available weeks or months in advance.

FS Award Availability Question
(Mods, please feel free to combine if this is on point with a prior thread, but a few minutes of searching did not yield any recent threads directly on point.)
I currently have a F Saver award that originated on CO for travel in Nov. I would like to make a change in the routing and stopover city. The routing I want, including LH F on the transatlantic segment, shows as available via KVS using either the AC or M&M methods and has over the last several days. It also shows available on UA.com. It does not show available when using the SNT methods on KVS. Unfortunately, I cannot modify my res online. I have called UA twice on different days, spoken to two different agents, and neither one could see availability on the LH segment. The second one called LH to confirm. Especially the first agent was quick to say that online availability can be several hours old, but the one today followed my point that I have been seeing availability for several days so why can't they. Particularly the agent today seemed competent and willing to work with me, especially considering that she was willing to check availability before starting a res modification. Suggestions? I have thought about making a second res and then asking the agent to combine and drop the unneeded legs, but I am not optimistic that would work. Thanks, TRRed |

Just curious... does this phantom availability problem only affect F seats on LH, or has it happened on Y or C seats as well?

I have given up on finding LH F on UA until, as suggested by others, I am within 2 weeks of travel. I continue to find phantom availability for LH F also on Aeroplan.

At this point, for TATL, is LH the only carrier which seems to have the ghost availability? I have not been aware of it on other carriers.

Saver LH first award fails to ticket
I'm trying to book a saver award from IAD-FRA-BRU on 4/13.There is a saver award in LH first on the united website for 67,5K miles. I can select it an enter all the details (it's for two persons). I enter my credit card details for the cash portion (78$) but when I then hit continue , I get an error page telling to contact support.
Any idea why this does not want to ticket ? Thx |

Appears has started restriction access but the UA system is pickup the wrong info.
