Still cheaper on many Award Accelerator offers; not worth it at 2.45 cpm.

This is a completely new offer being discussed here... 30%, not 25%.

But it's still a ripoff compared to Award Accelerator, as exerda rightly points out.

Currently US offers Double Miles for purchase. 100K will come out to $ 1750 ( used to be $ 1300 ), considerably less than what UA is offering. Much better deal at US and redemptions to some destinations at less than UA as well. Of course can be applied to UA flights. Stay away from the UA offer.

US's website says "The cost to buy 50,000 + 50,000 Bonus miles is $1,881.25 (including taxes/fees)." A cost of 1.88 cents per mile is better than UA's 2 cents per, but not by a whole lot.

RNE, wondering if I buy miles with my US Airways Dividend Miles Premier World MasterCard, will that purchase come in at double miles on this US Airways purchase.

You might be a good person to ask. I notice more than a few here break down their fares by miles, which amazes me to no end. I say this because the topic came up with the million miler lawsuit (in the lawsuit it states the average cost to fly a million miles). That being said....

What is considered a "good deal" when it comes to buying miles? For example, above 100K miles is .17 cents a mile (and you mention used to be .13). What is the lowest you've seen it?

Thanks, UG
