Charge 1K for E+ access?

Has this happened to anyone on the PMUA?

I purchased a multi-leg ticket back in April, (SFO-NRT-SIN-NRT-SFO). After I purchased my ticket and selected my seats, dot bomb then proceeded to charge me $460+ worth of economy plus charges. I have been a 1K for the past 5 years.

Even with one SWU clearing for the outbound legs, these charges are still on my credit card statement. Is this how the "new UA" works? I put in for a refund on dot bomb; should I just dispute the charges with Chase (I have an old Platinum UA Visa)?

Why on earth did you click yes to accept the charge. No this is not how ua works......were you not logged in when you bought the ticket or picked seats....

Just to be clear also .bomb is no more.

Never happened to me and never heard any other 1Ks having the same problem. It sounds like you weren't logged in. You frequently need to be determined and persistent to get a refund.

That's the odd part because I was logged in when I purchased the tickets. It pulled up my name and my credit card info. Since I was logged in to buy the tickets, I thought it was a glitch due to the merger and as I planned to apply SWUs to the flight, I didn't want to mess up the order in the queue by cancelling the ticket and reissuing it, risking a higher price due to their new dynamic pricing. Another oddity was that my confirmations went to an email address that was mine but never used with UA.

Happened to me once on the old .bomb. It asked if I wanted to buy an upgrade on a PS flight with plenty of XF seats (and I had plenty of Regionals) but hit YES by accident. Called UA even before tkt was issued but they said they could not stop the charge. Promised a refund and they took a regional. 2 weeks later I get an email saying EXTRA services bought online are non refundable and denied my refund so, that meant they charged me $250 AND took a regional. I called old 1 K desk and the agent was furious. She gave me the refund right away. (told me the first agent that said I was getting a refund sent it to the refunds dept which 1K agents DON'T have to do. They have (had?) the power to issue refunds all on there own

My company bought a ticket and my 1K wasn't in it. Went in and added my info, including FF number, to the account and E+ was no longer a for charge option.
