Error. All narrowbody aircraft with the exception of P.S. aircraft, have 20 & 21 as exit rows.

I have a flight on July 1 on a 737-900. I was in 21A, looked today and I am in 15A (which would have been 20A the first overwing exit row) so I switched to 16A.

Is this the difference between 737-900 with E+ and those without?

The difference between an E+ aircraft and non E+ aircraft is E+ aircraft dont have a row 14, while E+ aircraft do have a row 14. Also the row numbers havent changed or anything there is some sort of glitch with the website, because someone posted around here that they went to select there seats on an sCO 777 and it wasnt showing the flatbed icons, and we all know that isnt true.

I wanted to also point out that rows 15 & 16 were the overawing exit rows on the sCO 752s, and 739s prior to the merger, and prior to the rows being renumbered.

Welcome to the weekends, when they run huge batch jobs to update schedules and such. It makes the seat maps and aircraft designations go wonky while they're running. Nothing has actually changed. It will all be back the way it was on Monday.

From what I can tell, whenever I was in the back row (21) of two emergency exit rows, I am now in the front row (15), and visa versa (20 to 16).

Not going to switch from 15 to 16, hoping they put it back the way it was.

Glad to hear I am not alone on this one. The strange thing is I have other flights booked on the 739s and they are 20 and 21.

Thanks. The glitch was also a surprise to ExpertFlyer who sent me a message this morning stating that the exit row window and aisle seats I was looking for were available.

Not much of a surprise there IMO. It loads into the GDS like that, too, so all the systems see it the same way while the changes are processing.

I'm confused now, because this is exactly what happened to a SFO-EWR flight for me. 737-9 with row 6, 32 rows total, exits 15/16, etc. I'm not sure what seats to select.

P.S.: I'm sitting in 16D, but I didn't think there was a row 16 on these former CO737s

It changed during the night. I have a 739 flight on 6/15 and wanted to change seats last night and got the "reaccomodation" message. This morning I could make the change and the rows have been renumbered.

Don't mess with it while it is in this state. The system usually puts things back the way they were. If you change it now you can mess that up.

Well, there were many seats available and I was jammed in 9F (maybe not terribly bad since it's a red eye). But hey, what's the worst thing that could happen? Maybe getting placed in 15D, which is a horrific row. Upgrades don't really happen for me any longer, so unlike the past, I plan all of my flights with the assumption that there's absolutely no chance of an upgrade (versus "choose a decent seat because I may not clear).

I believe the new AC don't/can't come from Boeing with E+ already installed. This is a CO, in-house modification and I think all of the brand new ones are flying straight to one of the few maintenance stations that do the conversion. The other ones will be re-configured as they go through certain stations/maintenance cycles.

All future 737 deliveries starting with 739ER #3454 will be delivered standard with E+ already installed.

So the weekend has passed and the exit rows for my flight did not revert to 20-21 buy are still 15-16. What's going on?
