1K Seating Assignment Issues

Just booked my first two flights with the new integrated system and noticed a rather annoying little glitch:

I am a 1K member and on an International B Economy fare from IAH-AMS the system automatically gives me row 42 while there are countless seats open in the former Elite rows.

I was signed in at the time, so there should have been no other issues.

My travel agent book me another International B fare from AMS-EWR and it did the same thing...Back of the bus.

In addition, my reservation contained no personal travel information, even though my MP number was correctly entered.

I hope they sort this out, as it should not be so much of an issue to allocate Premier members with good Y seats especially if they are paying B fares for them. How hard can that be?

Must give credit where credit is due though: My OP account had been misaligned for weeks, consistently missing Elite qualification points, after this weekend everything is perfect, all flights are correct.

so uh, was there a reason you couldn't select the seats you wanted? sounds awful that the system didn't figure out your preferences in some kind of automatic psychic sekjfdsjfksdjfk

I was able to select the seats I prefer; however my point is that when previously booking on CO and UA, they recognized my Elite status and always selected a seat in the Elite Access area.

The new system selected a seat two rows from the back of the bus. Obviously on both accounts the system is not recognizing the Premier Status level and chosing another seat.
