Exclude yourself from CPU?
Under the new system, how do you exclude yourself from CPU?
On the PMUA system you could do it online before the UDU window. After the UDU window, you would have to call reservations.
Now that we're on the new system, how does it work now?
The PMUA system also showed online (under MyItineraries) that you had successfully excluded yourself from UDU. I understand that under the new system, you can't verify online that you were successfully excluded.

Our Kids on the same flight but booked on a separate PNR (You ask why 2 PNR's; My company issues my ticket, I'm bringing kids on the trip)... Now at least the wife + kids on the same PNR works for those of us who have MM as at least her status will match mine at some point so as long as the kids are on the SAME PNR as the wife then hopefully it all just works

Many times when I take my wife and daughter to OGG, or KOA, I purchase my ticket to get the miles and use miles for their award tickets. Still don't want to be separated.

The only way to exclude yourself from EUA on the new system is to call the airline and ask them. You still won't see any notification in your reservation online.
Eventually UA will add the Pending/Waitlisted/Confirmed upgrade messages to flights online but that won't be coming "immediately".

Previously during the "dual-system" period, a PMCO agent informed me that there was no way to exclude yourself from EUA. I had phoned in about a mixed itinerary (PMUA ticket 016), but with a codeshare operated by PMCO.

BTW: speaking of out of sync upgrades for family. Had a GS on LAX-LHR who was in J upgraded to F and his wife did NOT clear. He came to me (I was sitting next to his wife) and asked if I wanted to take his seat in F so he could sit with his wife. I asked the purser if she was OK with it; her comment was "it's his seat and if he wants to do it, that's fine" - she hand modified the pax list printout and all was good.

I value extra legroom over seat width. Couple times on 757 (non-PS) I had one of the bulkhead/exit row seats and they upgraded me to F. Once I tried calling to get my seat back, and it was such a headache I never did that again.
Another time, I had printed my BP at T-24 and boarded the plane. The GA come aboard, and say "Mr. Level, I have an upgrade for you", and I told him I didn't want it. When the door closed, I had 8 A, B and C all by myself, which IMO, is superior to a seat in F!
