Valid routing?? using miles

SFO-AKL-BNE-BKK-BOM for award miles on business class.
Airlines used are NZ,TG.

Is it a valid routind usuing UA miles with no stopover and it is oneway business class for 60,000?

No chance of that working with UA. Better chance of it working with CO. If you can find the inventory I'd try booking it as a multi-city online or calling it in and feeding the segments to the agent. I know that CO permits BKK-SYD-SFO/LAX so adding on the hop to BOM shouldn't be too much trouble.

Has nothing to do with the original poster's routing but I figured I'd ask a routing question with this thread.

Looking for first class award from ZRH to PDX. Is travel through YUL on LX valid routing? How do I find routing rules for these types of things?

CO let me book DEN-CLE-YUL(overnight)-ZRH-LHR. I don't think you'd have any trouble.

The reason I ask is I tried this through MIA (ZRH-MIA-IAH-PDX) and it was no-go; invalid routing. I'll call and ask. I just can't stand the long hold times (30+ minutes). I have no status.

Once I called OnePass and they gave me the option of ringing me back when an agent is available but now they are just having me hold. Is there a way to have the call back option done automatically instead of listening to the terrible hold announcement over and over and over?

Also, what is the longest permitted layover on an international award ticket? Is 24 hours permitted and not counted as a Stopover?

I'm not sure if it will offer you the option to have them call-back... Hope you get through quickly!

The rule using UA miles is that is cannot be over 15% of the MPM (maximum permitted mileage) which is normally around the direct distance + 10%.

So PDX-ZRH is 5375 miles, so I'll ballpark that MPM is 5912. So as long as you stay under 5912 + 15% = 6799 miles, you should be good.

PDX-YUL-ZRH is 6070 miles. (I'm assuming AC flies PDX-YUL direct, something I'm not sure if they do. If not, PDX-YVR-YUL-ZRH is still only 6281 miles, so that would be valid as well.

You can stopover as long as you like on a roundtrip award, and anything <24 hours is not considered a stopover.
