plus the HKG-SIN and SIN-HKG are at pretty bad timings. HKG-SIN at 8:30 getting in at midnight, and SIN-HKG often times at 6.05am to 6:45am depending on the time of the year. Personally if i had to travel, those times are enough to detract me as when i get to HKG, its the begining of the day and i was up at 3-4am getting to the airport and arriving in SIN, i would be up till 2am?

Given options on CX, SQ and other international carriers, UA has never really been able to compete on this route.

Thanks for your comments.

I'll see if I can get LIH Prem studios to recall the video to make lots of corrections.

I hope the inaccuracies and mention of the use of domestically configured equipment on international routes didn't spoil the humor value for anybody.

Thanks,
David

Thumbs up

This was certainly more entertaining (and valuable?) than wading through 69 pages in the 'other' thread.

This bear has been omnipresent in recent FT related videos (though in other videos his ears would wiggle from time to time).

Since the video is apparently just a text to speech artifact, I will wager the other thread could be turned into a video pretty easily.

Great video, and a great way to spread the word on what those stinkers at UA are doing to us.

Let's put up links to this film on every travel related website we can think of. I have already put up links on several timeshare sites on both sides of the pond.

Email links to your frends and colleagues who fly UA or CO, especially if they are gold, silver, 1P or 2P.

1 - GUM to other Asian destinations are CPU eligible - UA Insider and the chart online indicate as such

2 - GUM-HNL is only GPU eligible but that could change - again this can be found online.
Remember that the island hopper (HNL-MAJ-KWA-KSA-PNI-TKK-GUM), remains CPU upgradable.

1st prize goes to the first FT'er who can book SJU-SIN on a single CR-1.

not sure i approve of the downfall clip being used is an anology to this and I defintely do not find that funny. I acutally take slight offense to that clip. But the others were funny.

Heh, Heh, very very good! This should run in the business, FC, and E+ seating areas as the opening sequence for inflight entertainment - a great summary and should get MP'ers talking.

Sadly, its all too true!

Thanks for the chuckle! Mileage life just can't be so serious all of the time!
