Quote: Unfortunately, I don't think you understood what the OP is saying and what I am saying.

Firstly, please separate *G from CO Gold. The OP is not referring to *G, they are referring to Continental's status.

CO Golds AND CO Plats are considered *G in the Star Alliance system.

In United's upgrade priority system, 1P's are of course put ahead of STAR GOLDs. When the agent referred to Gold, she was referring to a Continental Gold. Why would they be ahead of a CO Plat on the DM?

Again---

BPs pre-last week said PLATINUM/*G for my UA flights, and they now say GOLD/*G-with no explanation from CO or UA as to why. Also going very far down upgrade lists.

Continental's response is: We know you're a Platinum and our records show it. Unfortunately we have no way of seeing what United's records say or why they might be wrong.

United's response is: Ask Continental-we only have what we have. Sorry.

The boarding pass itself is stating that I am a CO Gold when I am really a CO Plat. It stated Plat all throughout the year. So no, UA is screwing it up. Every boarding pass I've had this year has rightfully said Plat/*Gold. Now all of a sudden its Gold/*gold.
My recent BP said Gold/*Silver ... maybe it's an indication of things to come.

Maybe you missed the (retroactive) required $ spend for status?

Very odd-but nothing I can do til UA makes me 1P. The BP can say what it wants, but I'm worried about where I'm listed in the upgrade priority list.

According to an agent at LAX this morning, UA has no ability to see whether someones a CO Plat or CO Gold, just Star Gold and Star Silver. Yet she was able to tell me there was a "Continental Gold member" in front of me (a Plat member) on the DM. Roll eyes

But considering I'm way down on the upgrade priority list for tonight's (UA Operated) SFO-EWR, my E+ seat and channel 9 and a tapas box will do just fine. However, if operating procedures are not followed, (i.e. I'm not in the appropriate spot on the DM list)--that's where I get frustrated. Fortunately, not that many more MRs on UA metal.

That must be it. 40K Miles in one month means nothing if its under $80K. lol =D

Hi demkr, I'm very sorry about this. Given that you havent experienced this in the past, this is definitely a recent error that appears to have occurred with our latest update. Were still researching the details, and, I'll let you know once we uncover whats happening. In the interim, if you have any upcoming reservations (besides tonights), and you want to PM them to me, well be happy to look at them in advance to see if we can resolve the situation manually.
