1. E+
2. Being in BUF, I can quick hop to ORD or IAD and access pretty much their entire network without the HELL that is transiting through Europe in the mornings.
3. Excellent options from *A to get where UA doesn't go
4. HNL call center. Nothing makes me happier than to be greeted with an Aloha.
5. The new biz seats.
6. The continuation of 3-cabin service on PMUA aircraft (for now at least).

1..9) Historic: near-2MM, a million miles in MP. know how they operate.
10) upgrade density
11) they fly to the forsaken outpost I am trapped in
12) E+
13) luggage limits, including hand luggage limits
14) they are not SQ and not LH, hence inherently not that bad

The Masters of ATL gobbled up beloved NW. US up until recently was a big bag of . AA, while outstanding, is tough to use from CLT for either Northeastern or Southeastern destinations.
Hence, UA 1K/CO PE for me.

E+ and the mileage program. If ease of redemption deteriorates below OnePass norms, though, I'll shift to Plan B (AS+DL/AA). UA is a lot to put up with.

I stay because of E+ (I go between 2P and 1P) and IAD
Otherwise, it is just an airline.

Im a CAL PHL FLYER soon to be a UAL PHL FLYER..I guess..For me Im staying with UA because Its the biggest airline in the world and can take me almost anywhere..Ive gotten to know the PHL employees over the years and it just feels like "home" to me..If i need to fly to the west coast UA has that covered with PHL-LAX/SFO nonstops..and with flights connecting through EWR/IAH to almost everywhere, it meets my needs..and the nonstops to DEN are great for winter skiing..I enjoy flying with a well established airline with experienced employees..UA is just the right fit for me..^

1. Star Alliance and many reward booking opportunities vs. ST and OW
2. Vast network
3. Offers the most options out of LAX for my routes [NYC, DC, etc]
4. E+ and EUA/UDU
5. Robust platform and App [CO] and increased transparency after my experience with DL
6. SWUs and CR1s
7. Decent domestic F service and meals [CO]
8. Great agents [both CO/UA], both airlines took good care of me especially in IRROPs.
9. Once in F you are in F, if downgraded you will be compensated even on upgrades [CO]
10. Flat bed in C

I'm gonna give you a half-mulligan on #4 since you used the word "usually" (a full mulligan if you didn't ) and as to point 3, yes Star Alliance is (imho) a very good network but there is the issue of UA and StarNet blocking

Question is, will Starnet blocking go away in 2012?? I sure hope so!
