Lap Infant & Secure Flight Data

Mrs. Boiflyer and I are taking our first trip with Junior Boiflyer. I called and had reservations indicate a lap child on our reservation.

When checking seat assignments today, I see under passenger information there is another listing with my name, no seat assignments, no MP #, and it states "Secure Flight data incomplete". (even though the first listing of my name has everything complete). I called Reservations and they say nothing to worry about but I'm not sure if I was able to communicate my concern properly.

Has anyone else had a lap child and had the extra "Secure Flight data incomplete" show up on their reservation, and did you need to do anything or not?

Thanks, Boiflyer
PS Even though our first segment BOI-DEN is on a CRJ (bummer), our upgrades did clear DEN-OMA.

I am assuming you are using United to check your information -- the site has been having tons of issues (even OLCI). I prefer to trust the person over the phone than the site. My information has been coming and going on the site all week .

IME, your itinerary should list your child's name and not yours twice. Regardless of age and whether (s)he occupies a seat TSA will need the name and DOB information for your infant. If you haven't provided all this info to UA reservations then the secure flight data is definitely incomplete no matter what the rep says.

I was able to check in fine. I received two boarding passes in my name for each segment. The second boarding pass is the same as my primary except "INF" is printed next to the seat assignment.

In all my travel with kids UA just printed another boarding pass with my name that said infant (AA on the other hand did collect all names and issued separate passes).
Kids are not required to have any ID to fly when with parents so obviously no TSA stuff.
