Returning HNL-SFO on Thanksgiving day after a week in HNL.

Hoping for cleared UDU for me and Mrs. 4BandE (the kids will stay in E+)

Then off to my parents after we land for some Turkey!

Don't count on it, I have flown on Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year before on premium cabin and nothing special had happened.

I'm driving to see Ma Dulcamara. I will let the Kettles take over the airports next week and enjoy the nude-o-scope.

Back on the road in Dec with RDU-HKG (UA) - PVG (CX). UGs on UA via SWU confirmed at booking. Paid J on CX.

doing IAH-DEN on monday, returning COS-IAH following monday. I so wish the CR7's were going to be on my COS-IAH flight next week. Oh well, will have to wait for my chance to sit up front a lil while longer.

I'm traveling shortly before (to MCO) and shortly after (to BKK) Thanksgiving. Not traveling at all 11/23- 11/29, though; just not worth it to put up with the influx of Kettles and other associated travel hassles.

I actually looked into flying to ROA for the VT-UVA game on 11/28, but I wasn't about to cough up $600+ or 50k miles for a standard award for that. I'll suck it up and drive the 4 hours (probably more like 6 with holiday weekend traffic).

Something Different

No nude-o-scope for me
Going ORD>CVG via the Mega Bus
Free wifi and no baggage charges makes it not too bad AND I can take the home made cranberry sauce
Turkey and all the trimmings including mashed potatoes with lots of sour cream and garlic for the family Italians!

I was looking at flying, with my brother, NYC to ROA or GSO or CLT to visit my Mom in SouthWest Virginia but didn't feel like spending $900+, since I'm already at 106K EQM for the year, my Brother and I are driving the 10 hours...

11/21 - CLD-LAX-SFO (UDU cleared LAX-SFO @72hr).
11/24 - SFO-LAX-CLD. There is a UDU pending SFO-LAX, but the flight looks full (if not oversold).

11/25 - SFO-HNL with the wife and kids. Much needed vacation (have flown more than 65,000 BIS miles since July 1 for work) and we'll have our turkey on the Wednesday.

My god, people must be getting a head start on travel east x-SFO tomorrow night. Searching standard awards to IAD, there's very little after a 7pm-ish connect through DEN. I'm on the 11:15 direct (404), which stopped selling tickets this morning. The 10:40 (#198) has 2 F seats. Looks like a good bump opp., but I need to be in Gettyburg, PA by 5p.m. tomorrow and I'm terminating the route in Harrisburg (MDT) which means a 45 minute drive, so taking the 6 a.m. Sat. flight through ORD to MDT gets me to MDT around 4pm if all goes well, making it tiiiiight.

Doing a MR on 11/25 BOS - SFO - HNL with a HNL - SFO - LAX - BOS return that night...hoping a few of the legs clear. Giving up quality time with family and friends with a goal to reach 1K...people think I'm totally nuts!

November 26: LGA-CLE-MKE
November 26 (~6 hours later): MKE-ORD-LGA

Nothing beats my college roomates hanging out for an afternoon in MKE.

Martinellis and Hawaiian rolls will do just fine.
