Keep an eye out for Mismatching Nose Cones on the 767s and the 777s I have seen a number of different combos

no offense it has taken FOREVER to get the battleship grey scheme phased out... this process was started back in 2004 and longest repaint in history...

welll maybe delta was worse.... for a brief brief period had planes in 4 paint schemes

I still see DL RJs in the pre merger paint!

In addition, the airline is trying to cut capacity, so getting out of the lease at this time is an opportune moment. I don't like seeing 747s leave the fleet, but what can ya do. It's also why some of UA's 757s that are leased are being sent back as the leases expire.

If there was no merger, you'd likely see the leases continue.

No factual basis at all for that last statement. UA was quite vocal about capacity cutting prior to the merger and had retired many 747s.

Another 735 left the CO fleet. Down to 43 planes still in CO titles.

At least 7 of the 8 PMCO 767-200s are for sale.

Anyone have any ideas for reorganizing the Wiki pages?

JOSECONLSCREW28 Nov 17, 2011 6:08 pm

Whoever is updating those CO/UA wiki pages needs to update the CO 737-800 section. There are 18 738s with the mid-cabin Lav not 12. Ships 260-277 have the mid cabin Lav and drop down IFE every few rows.

What were your thoughts on the reorganization?

I think it's a bit confusing to look at now with cell colors and font styles intermingled. I'd propose that we use one or the other but not both, and that we create specific pages to track specific things:
  • Integrated mainline fleet list, grouped by plane type, with nose number table and color shading to denote each type.
  • Paint progress (color shaded)
  • Integrated mainline BusinessFirst/IPTE progress (color shaded)
  • PMCO E+ progress

Open to thoughts...

I was thinking we should add all the CO lie-flat progress to the current UA interior conversions, and when a fleet type is done (i.e. 747) we should take out the table with the tail numbers and instead just add that they are all done in text in the first progress section... this avoids having to add CO's 777 and 752 (we would just add 22/22 complete, etc. to the first section). Also, this keeps the page relevant rather than having to scroll through tables and tables of modifications that everyone will be able to read is already complete in the first section.

The paint and seat page for UA is so dysfunctional to me, I never remember what color means what...

hmmm...... wonder what will become of it? As PMUA had a tendency to park UA owned planes (why put time on a owned plane when you can beat up a lease), but N173 is owned by Wells Fargo.

No real insight here, just an observation.

Isn't this the a/c that did the low-pass flyby of the Bay during fleet week '10 ?
