Raffles, this property's big rooms were the drawcard for us, given we will have 4 in the room. It got good reviews on Trip Advisor and in FT, so for this reason we booked it. It is also a 3 night award stay and leisure, rather than business (where I would have opted for an Exec).

Understand that they may be older, but it is only a place to put our head at night - my kids won't care (aged 4 and 1) and my wife and I can put up with an older room for no out-of-pocket, with the trade off being close to touristy things and a park for the kids. We'll be out sightseeing and (my wife will be) buying clothes. (General) problem with Exec rooms is that they have only 1 bed, thus won't accept 4 persons (although rollaway and cot may fit in this properties' Exec room).

Now, if they want to upgrade us to an Executive Room, I won't say no! I may still be just short of Platinum by that stage, but here's hoping I can get there before this stay happens (24 May)

Has anyone successfully booked the bmi code for travel after May 2nd? According to the conditions, it appears that it should work for travel after May 2nd as long as it is purchased by the deadline. When I tried to book Paddington-Heathrow today for travel on May 14th, it did not allow the discount. When I put in a date of May 2nd, it allowed the discount.

What will happen if I purchase the HEX tix with a date of 2 May but actually use them on 14 May?

Many thanks,

misterfuss

Great find! Thank you for posting, will use this in June. Don't know how they will know if you are an Iberia customer though.

If discounted Heathrow Express tickets aren't available on the day you need them you might want to consider the Heathrow Connect.
The Connect will get you from the airport to Paddington Station in 25 minutes versus the 15 minutes that the Express takes.
The adult fare for a Connect ticket is £8.50.

I am arriving on Iberia, just bought my HexTix and I don't think they particularly care whether you are an Iberia passenger or not. I very much doubt they will ask to see your boarding pass. The confirmation email has a QR code which presumably gets scanned by the guy on the train.

Not such a problem if they throw you off at the next stop though
