WHBM--

Your capsule commentary describing London is one of the best I have read!

My philosophy when visiting any 'mega city' is to stay in the suburbs and commute in. We were there in July and then again this New Year's, and stayed in 'Docklands territory': just this side of Greenwich. The DLR and Jubilee lines are far and away the nicest and most modern of the Tube lines, making the ride one of the highlites (at least for the little ones) of our stay.
